It’s all about Handel’s Messiah and Ross will condense John Newton’s comments on them to create individual devotions.
Each year Christian Education and Publications (CEP) and MNA call our denomination to 50 Days of Prayer for our General Assembly.

This year, Mike Ross, pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, will offer John Newton’s sermon series on Handel’s Messiah, abridged and condensed for the devotional. The devotional will begin on May 5, the National Day of Prayer, and end on June 23, after our 39th General Assembly.

Each day of the devotional will also include prayer requests from the ten PCA agencies and committees, so that we may join in prayer for the entire PCA as we prepare for the 39th General Assembly.

Michael F. Ross is the senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina. He has written materials for the PCA's 50 Days of Prayer since the inception of this denominational prayer ministry. Each year Christian Education and Publications and Mission to North American have partnered in this endeavor.
