This is a book for all youth workers. If there was ever a book that spoke to dispelling a stereotype of youth workers, this is it. It helps youth workers become comfortable and efficient with the Big “A” word: Administration. It is written in a way that even people who don’t read much (another stereotype of youth workers) can work through it and be helped by it. It covers topics from organizing your time and office (not office/closet), to planning events and yearly budgets. It also includes sections on volunteers and insurance. There is even a CD-Rom with the book that contains close to 150 pages of forms to be used as is or tailored to meet your needs. This book will help the youth worker just starting out as well as the veteran youth worker who is open to learning a thing or two about administration and management from a youth ministry perspective. Even above average administrative youth workers can use this book, if only to help their interns and volunteers. This is a great resource.
